Join the riders of the Des Moines Cycle Club on Saturday June 21st at 6 p.m. as we remember Dr. “Bob” Breedlove on the anniversary of his tragic death. Dr. Bob Breedlove was a well-known central-Iowa orthopedic surgeon who died while participating in the Race Across America. We will celebrate his life and impact on not only the biking community but all those he came in contact with. The memorial ride will begin at Bike World West, 5970 Ashworth Road in West Des Moines with spoken remembrances of “Dr. Bob” Breedlove from those who wish followed with a prayer offered by Bill Magie. The group will then have two routes to ride, first route will be west to Booneville (hilly) with the distance to be determined by the riders or route two, north of Bike World West to the Raccoon River Valley Trail (rolling at best) and heading West with distance and time riders choice. Riders will then regroup at LEGENDS just East of Bike World West for refreshments and food.
