David Byrne & St. Vincent recently headlined the 80-35 musical festival in downtown Des Moines over the 4th of July weekend.

David was the lead dog in the band "Talking Heads" who were an American new wave and avant-garde band formed in 1975 in New York City and active until 1991.

Well come to find out that David likes to bike, and blogged about our "well-maintain and extensive trail system".

He also made a stop to Ichi Bike in East Village for some repairs and rode some of Dan's creations.

Maybe his 1978 song "Take me to the River" was really about bike riding along the Des Moines river on a trail ??? Who knew....

Kudos to David for getting out and seeing what we get to enjoy every day... AND for blogging about it!
